I am so excited to share my Fall / Winter 17 collection with you. The aesthetic is modern with clean linear lines combined with organic open circles that draw from ancient Chinese temple style architecture. While the shapes are simple, there's complexity in the fine details and this is what sets the collection apart.
The collection began with the Coco earrings shown below and quickly grew into a sketched collection with most pieces emerging true to their original design.
Each piece has been hand crafted in reclaimed metals (Sterling Silver, Gold Fill and Bronze).
The Katharine earrings - bottom left are my personal favorite. I love the way the silver stems curve up the ear lobe and how the oxidized patina adds depth and mystery.
What you should know about the Recollection Collection is every order and every piece is made by my hands. What does this mean for you - your pieces will be one of a kind. No two circles will be exactly alike, no two lined sections will be exactly alike, no two finishes or textures will be exactly alike.
You'll feel the substance, texture and hand finishing as you run your fingers over the metal, the innovative details like the hinge and link on the Marie bracelet (above).
The attention to detail continues with the gift ready packaging. Each piece nestles in a linen covered box with magnetic closure (recycled materials) and an organza bag.
I drew on a few different elements when designing the collection - Ancient Chinese
Temple architecture for the base aesthetic and I was influenced by strong, independent women when it came to the scale, materials and finished style. Each piece is named after a woman who has left the world a better place than she found it. A card with her name and brief bio is also included.
